A Kamsa Indian variety 
once classified as  Methysticodendron amesianum

Discovered in the Sibundoy Valley
(Colombia) 1942 by the late Richard
Evans Schultes 1915-2001. Schultes
was a Professor of Botany at Harvard
University and is fondly referred to as
"The Father of Ethnobotany". 
In 1973 Methysticodendron amesianum
was classified as genus Brugmansia by
the late Tommy Earl Lockwood (USA Harvard).
